On September the 20th, Districlima’s Tanger Plant opened its doors to the members of the Executive Committee of Engie’s North, South & Eastern Europe Business Unit. This visit confirms the Group's interest in district heating and cooling networks as a sustainable and intelligent energy solution for cities. The network of Barcelona, a pioneer project in our country that has been consolidated over its 12-year history, has become a reference and an example for other projects developed by the Group in locations with similar characteristics (geographical location, climatology, type of customers ...).

Engie bets on this energy solution, which fits completely in its strategic development model: sustainable, decentralized, efficient, low in CO₂ emissions, making use of innovative technologies and leveraging local resources and energies. In short, a key solution to tackle the energy transition successfully.
