On the 9th June, the Director of the Catalan Energy Institute, Mrs Assumpta Farran, visited Districlima hosted by the Managing Director of the Company, Mr David Serrano. The visit included the two production plants as well as some of the most significant buildings connected to the network. The Director of ICAEN emphasized the contribution of Districlima regarding the saving of CO₂ emissions, but also of other harmful particulate and pollutant compounds, matter in which she is an expert in her capacity as former general director of Environmental Quality of the Department of Territory and Sustainability, where she has led the adoption and development of the Action Plan for the Improvement of Air Quality in the conurbation of Barcelona.

Mrs Assumpta Farran was appointed Director of the Catalan Energy Institute by the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya last January and has joined the Board of Districlima.
