Last February 22 the Councilor for Enterprise and Tourism of Barcelona City Council, Mr. Agustí Colom, together with the Project Manager of this council, Mr. Jordi Matheu, visited the facilities of DISTRICLIMA. Energy links with business competitiveness and innovation are evident an irreplaceable ingredient in entrepreneurship. DISTRICLIMA is a clear example of how this entrepreneurial initiative, along with the municipal initiative, can significantly influence the change of the energy paradigm in the territories. In 2016, thanks to DISTRICLIMA, the City benefited from a reduction of CO₂ emissions of almost 19,000 tons, equivalent to the annual CO₂ consumption of 2,510 families of 3 members.
